So this bar is a bar I used to walk by when I was 13, the name has changed and it's a little bigger as they took over the shop next door which used to be a fishing tackle place. I used to walk by it to go to the place next door where I could play pool and video games. I have to say it was a bit nostalgic and weird for me to be in this area where I had not been for some 21ish years. I used to live right behind this place in the apartments behind it. Now being in Vegas you do not see a whole lot of real refrigerators keeping the beer mugs cold, but here in San Antonio it seems to be the "in" thing. Mind you, this is the third bar I have been in and they all had them so it is just what it is. I figure without the poker machines to help, there is just a lot less money to upgrade your business. The Staff was incredibly friendly and it turns out it was Karaoke night when me and my dad showed up and the place went from being kind of dead to a large fun crowd of cheerful people. The bartenders were always on the spot to get me a new Corona with lime and they spread salt on the outside, which I had never have had before "and I liked it!" I have to say I really liked this place with its family style seating and long bar and for the smiles from the bartenders who although it was busy never seemed to get to stressed out. If I lived in SA, this so far would be the bar I would be hanging out at. Give this place a try if your anywhere in the area.
